ISU #2 will be focusing on some Methods of Development and demonstrating them through the different styles of music.

    EX. In horror films they use music for dramatic affect


Definition:
Syncopation is a shift of accent in a passage or composition that occurs when a normally weak beat is stressed








Compare: 
Jazz, Blues, Reggae, and Ska are all musical styles that uses syncopated beats.


Anecdote: 
The song Hot Problems, by Double Take,  made Friday, by Rebecca Black, sound like The Beatles
